The 8th Annual Fuller Center BBQ, Benefit, and Celebration was held October 19, 2017 at the Gladstone Community Center to mark our eighth year in working to eliminate poverty housing and help provide families with accessible, affordable homes.
Thanks to your support, the event was a huge success!
We auctioned off over 71 items, had over 100 bidders, almost 300 attendees, and raised over $25, 000 to help local families with decent housing.
After the dinner and auction, we shared what you helped us accomplish in 2017 and then shared what we’re looking forward to in 2018. We heard from our latest partner family, Tara Hensler, and how her new home will change her life. Then, we awarded the Matthew 25 Award.
The Matthew 25 Award is given annually to a person or organization who has faithfully lived out the Gospel of Matthew through invaluable contributions to the Fuller Center for Housing of Greater Kansas City. This year, the recipient of the Matthew 25 Award was Brad Bolling for his dedication and tireless service on the Olive house project.
